My
Work Philosophy
I see an enormous need for teaching, training, and equipping leaders, managers, and team members of organizations, in our world today. My education, skillset, temperament and talents make consulting and training a natural fit for me. My goal is to help transform the workplace in such a way that when employees come home from work, their families should see someone who’s fulfilled and energized as opposed to frustrated, or beaten down by stress. Kids deserve to see a happy mom or dad, not a parent drained by the job that puts food on the table, as I did as a child. Work comes with the weight of responsibility, but why can’t it also be rewarding and refreshing? Yes, it sounds idealistic but you’ve got to aim at the stars to get to the Moon.
My three guiding values when working with my clients are trust, transparency, and tenacity. At the same time, I know that wisdom, tact, and good judgment are just as important when dealing with nuanced situations.I don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions. Every workplace problem is different, so I use a variety of tools to figure out what works best. I also believe in treating people with respect, meaning seeing their strengths, putting them in the right roles, and making sure they have all the tools they need to do their jobs well.
At the core of my work is a simple idea: people aren’t just workers, they’re human beings with minds, hearts, and hands. Good leaders don’t just focus on what employees can do with their hands; they also connect with their thoughts and emotions. That’s how you create a workplace where people feel valued, do great work, and help the business succeed. I build that kind of environment by getting to know people, working alongside them, and making sure they feel respected and heard. Because when people are happy at work, it’s not just good for them, it’s good for their families, their leaders, and the company. Fulfilled team members lead to satisfied customers. Satisfied customers spread the word, bring other customers, driving profit and growth.
